Dear Megan,
Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that your application to try out for the 2013 USA Women’s National Team has been accepted! This letter serves as your official invitation to join us at the Lakeshore Foundation in Homewood, Alabama April 3-7, 2013.
Just a few things to keep in mind as you begin to plan your travel to Alabama. You are responsible for your transportation to and from Birmingham, Alabama. Once on the Lakeshore campus, your housing and food are taken care of for the duration of the tryout camp. Please plan to arrive into Birmingham NO LATER than 4pm on April 3, as we will meet the evening of the 3rd. Make sure your departure time out of Birmingham is NO EARLIER than 3pm on April 7. You will receive 2-3 jerseys and 2-3 pairs of shorts to wear during tryouts. For all training sessions, the jerseys provided must be worn. There are laundry facilities at Lakeshore and your jerseys and shorts will be washed each evening. For those who want to bring extra clothes, please note that you may only wear red, white, blue, black, or gray shorts and t-shirts and they must be plain or say USA. Your current team attire is not acceptable on or off the court.
Lastly, each athlete will be responsible for her own equipment and it’s maintenance during camp. We will have a pump onsite, but you will be responsible for spare equipment (i.e. wheels, chair parts, etc) and tools to work on your personal chair.
